Sometimes a toxic work environment is so hopeless that your only recourse is to pack it in and leave. In that situation, Shark Tank star Daymond John is a fan of “loud quitting,” where you leave as big and with as much noise as possible. That way you publicize the toxic environment, with the hopes of warning others away and maybe getting enough attention that upper management takes action.
Here’s what Mr. John says:
“I think it’s great when there’s a toxic boss [or] toxic environment. You see a bunch of people loud quitting, you better pay attention to what’s going on with your staff, because you [evoke] so much emotion that these people have collectively started saying ‘I don’t care what happens to me… This place sucks.’ And I think that’s absolutely amazing.”
